Invasion of the Lanternflies: Response and Impact of Spotted Lanternfly in the Eastern U.S.
Heather Leach, Extension Associate at Penn State University, will present the latest research information on the invasive spotted lanternfly (SLF) during this 1-hr webinar. This insect was first discovered in the U.S. in Pennsylvania in 2014, and has since spread to multiple other Mid-Atlantic states. SLF poses a significant threat to the grape, tree-fruit, hardwood, and nursery industries. It also can cause damage to high-value ornamentals in home landscapes.
